Description
These deadstock, unworn late 1980s Charles Jourdan slingback pumps are made of vibrant, jewel-toned purple suede. The unique shape of the strap across the instep is wider on the inner side, with a larger cutout on the outer side. The pointy, almond-shaped toes are slightly squared off at the tips. The 3-inch heels are also an unusual shape: curving and tapered in back, more straight at the sides. The narrow strap around the back of the heel has a small elasticized section, which still has some give to it. The insoles and linings are peachy-tan leather. The soles are covered with shiny black lacquer, I believe over leather. The soles are stamped “Made in France” and “Leather”, along with the Charles Jourdan “CJ” logo. These lovely circa late 80s purple suede designer heels are labeled size 8.5 medium, but will fit a bit smaller and narrower than a modern shoe of that size—please check the measurements for details! These well-made, fine leather and suede slingback pumps by Charles Jourdan are in very good to excellent condition, never worn, but with very subtle marks to the suede at the sides of the toes and at the top edge of the heels from their long storage in a box.
Approx. size: 8 to 8.5 narrow.
For reference, they fit well width-wise on my size 8.5-9 narrow foot, but are just a bit too short.
