Description
Perfect for a 4th of July backyard party, this pair of mod 1960s ribbed cotton cropped pants are striped in red, white, and blue! The flat-front pant fastens with a nylon zip fly and a hook at the no-waistband waist. Small darts at front and back shape the hips. The slightly curved waist is designed to sit just below the natural waist (abut belly-button height), as shown. The inside of the pant waist has white cotton interfacing around its upper edge; the mid-weight ribbed cotton fabric is otherwise unlined. The cropped pant hem ends above the ankle on my tall mannequin, but will hit lower on a more petite person.
In very good condition, these true vintage 1960s ankle-length striped ladies’ pants were unworn when found, but I have since laundered them for freshness. The dye in the narrow red stripes bled just a little bit when they were washed (see close-up photo), so be aware of this for future. This very minor dye bleeding is the only issue to note.
