This 1950s Bes-Ben hat by the famed Chicago milliner is made of dark navy blue fur felt, with fun navy vinyl tubing “patent” trim! The trim outlines the edges of the curved hat crown, and the pointy, petal-shaped protrusions that hug the sides of the head. I love the 2 cute little bows on each side section! The extra-wide-gauge mesh veiling is eye-length, and has several small breaks in it, as seen in the close-up photos. The body of the hat and the vinyl trim are in excellent condition, but the veil issues make it overall very good. The hat should fit a variety of head sizes, since the curved felt crown is somewhat flexible. Bes-Ben hats are very collectible and very special, so this 1950 hat is a real find for a vintage hat-lover!
